Projects

This is where I would like to showcase many of the projects I did and was proud of during my time in college that allowed me to grow as a person in the industry as well as a well-rounded individual. These projects allowed me to also develop and grow skills needed in the music industry.

Music Label Creation

In a class entitled "Record Label Operations" we as students in a group of four to five created record labels from the group up, with lessons from the instructor on how to do so. Each element included coming up with a music model, marketing plan, deal memos, among many other things that are included with starting a label and representing an artist.

Size-Inclusive Fashion Show

Body Haven is an organization for the students of Columbia College Chicago that do not fit into societal norms when it comes to the body, it focuses on body positivity and fat liberation. In following the mission statement, the organization decided to do a size-inclusive fashion show to showcase people of all shapes and sizes.

Music Industry Immersion

In this course, we were placed through a simulation of the music industry where we engaged many of the disciplines taught to us within the music business department. This focuses more on developing the management skills of each student through music management and company operations. This course prepared students for what it would be like to pitch their company to investors as well as develop a real working business.

04

Events Management

This course taught students how to put together and manage a live event and every element that goes into it, including but not limited to budgeting, finding acts, fundraising, and permit planning. Students could choose between learning to run a festival or doing the work to put together Columbia College Chicago's end-of-the-year urban arts festival, Manifest.

Sound Design/Engineering

Worked with theaters to get the soundscape they wanted for their shows. Working with QLab to make the show run easier using the cueing system to trigger sounds when necessary as well as changing volume for what was needed in the show. While designing the show, I also did work with the overall engineering of the show whether it had to do with a live band and/or actors.
